HELP A CHILD THRIVE TODAY!

The quality of a student's education shouldn't be based on their abilities.

Meet Sean

He's a bright, curious boy with a contagious laugh. But like many children on the autism spectrum, Sean faces challenges navigating traditional school environments. Thrive with Autism was founded by a group of dedicated parents and educators who refused to accept that children like Sean couldn't reach their full potential. Their vision was simple: to create an educational setting where children with autism could flourish and thrive, no matter their financial standing.

What is Thrive With Autism Foundation?

A nonprofit organization formed to help children with autism gain access to individualized high-quality education, therapies, and other services needed to help them reach their full potential.

  • Thrive With Autism Foundation is a 501(c)3 with EIN # 84-473547
  • Thrive With Autism Foundation Website: www.thrivewautism.org

What are the GOALS of Thrive with Autism Foundation?
  1. To create a tuition-free, charter school accessible to all children with autism, regardless of financial standing [Thrive Center for Success].
  2. To provide a one-stop shop approach that allows access to additional services needed for children with autism.

Our Mission:

To cultivate a high quality, innovative environment for individuals with autism that provides access to services needed to empower each individual to thrive.

Our Vision:

For every student to develop his/her fullest potential and have increased independence and satisfaction in all aspects of life.

Challenges:

Despite the progress we've made, many children with autism still struggle to find educational environments that meet their unique needs.

  • They may not be equipped with the skills to be successful in a traditional school setting.
  • They do not have access to academics in a clinical setting.
  • They may not be accepted into a private school, which can also be expensive.

This lack of appropriate educational options hinders their growth and development.

Our Plan:

Thrive with Autism is committed to overcoming this challenge by providing a high-quality, innovative educational environment tailored specifically to the needs of children with autism. With your help, we will expand our programs, hire additional qualified staff, and enhance our resources to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed.

What is the Return on Investment for the Donor?

Statistics:

  • In our inaugural year (2022-2023), about half of our 92 students came from clinics, private schools, or homeschooling, while the other half sought a change from their previous public school educational settings.
    • During the 2023-2024 school year, Thrive Center for Success served over 120 students, with 94% diagnosed with autism and the remainder primarily having other disabilities. We consistently had around 250 students on the waitlist.
    • In the 2024-2025 school year, we welcomed 150 students to our school on the first day of school, with a waitlist of 350. This shows a growth rate of 23% since last year. These students represent 28 zip codes from all across Harris and Montgomery Counties.
    • According to the CDC, 1 in 36 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder annually.
    • Within Thrive’s geographical boundaries, there are 3,265 students with autism in the public school system alone, excluding those who are homeschooled, in private schools, or attending ABA clinics.
    • If all students with autism in Texas were grouped into a single school district, it would be the fifth-largest, with 91,742 students. Houston has the highest number of students in Texas, totaling 196,550.
    • During the charter application process, Thrive received over 100 letters of support from local parents, businesses, leaders, and organizations in our community.
